Mother Deer is a beautiful & playful show for family audiences that captures their imaginations & inspires them to think about our environment, the animals & their place in the natural world: Based on an ancient Northern European Folk tale about the Winter Solstice, Mother Deer blends aerial acrobatics, dance & sensory theatre in a feast of festive storytelling, full of mischief, wonder & magic.
Follow Mother Deer on her quest to bring the sunshine back to the forest: This show uses light & shadow as well as live music & sound to remind us of our deep connection to the natural world in the English Winter months. It encourages the audience to explore natural environments with confidence & curiosity & is a wholesome antidote to consumer Christmas; with a focus on playing together in nature.
This family show for ages 5+ has been commissioned by Circomedia with support from the Leche Trust and Garrick Charitable Trust.
